Alexa Wade

Alexa graduated University of Alabama, Birmingham and joined the lab as a BCMB student in 2019 and is now attempting to elucidate the role of MCRIP2 in adrenergic signaling in adipose tissue. During her free time, Alexa enjoys going to concerts, reading, eating wasabi peas, and drinking ginger tea.

Jean-Sebastien Wattez, PhD
PhD in Physiology and Biology of Organisms

JS joined the lab in 2017 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Diego in the Shao lab.
His current research is focused on the role of Perm1 in altering whole body metabolism during metabolic and thermogenic stress.
JS is a classically in the French hornist but now devotes his time to listening to death metal.

Elodie Eury
Elodie hails from France and previously worked with Natasha at The Scripps Institute before moving to Baltimore in 2017. A skilled baker, her French homemade pastries are famous and enjoyed by many in the department.
Sarah Chau
Sarah worked at the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus in Aurora, Colorado before moving to Baltimore and joining the lab in 2017. Sarah enjoys fly-fishing and hiking.
